The ever changing face of Indian markets in part of what this painting is about. The day before this market space carried fruits and vegetables. I came at dawn to paint and the space had changed to sweets for the coming festival. There was gajak, a sesame candy, prasad offerings for the gods, and peanut brittle. After the festival the stand went back to selling fruits and vegetables.

Sandra R. Hansen travels and paints around the world. During the last few years Sandra has painted numerous landscapes, from the US to Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam, and many others. Her specialty has been India where she made numerous trips painting, teaching, and exhibiting her art. This year Sandra started a non profit organization, Artists Cultural Exchange, to help artists from around the world meet each other, paint and exhibit together.
