This is in Varanasi, India. To get this picture you must walk through a field, climb through a window, then up a stone stairs with large gaps where the stones have broken to the roof of a building. The Chet Singh fort is an absolutely beautiful fort which is falling into decay. This photo was taken at dawn. I have painted this building three times and find it completely fascinating.
